Warped Flick
A feature-length slasher movie is currently in production on The Warped Tour. The film, titled "Punk Rock Holocaust", will be shot at each venue of the 44-date tour. It will feature members of Rancid, Simple Plan, The Used, Less Than Jake, the Ataris and nearly every other band in the Warped line-up, trying to solve a series of murders apparently perpetrated by a fictional band kicked off the tour six years ago. "Punk Rock Holocaust" produced by Backseat Conceptions, the company behind classics such as "4 Days in Panties" and "Bikini Bandits".

2003 Gets Warped
Word is out that The Warped Tour for 2003 has confirmed bands, giving us one more reason to look forward to summer. Andrew W.K., Face To Face, Rancid and The Used are among the bands that are getting top bill. If you're a fan of party-hearty Andrew W.K., however, you're only in luck if you live on the West Coast. He will play only West Coast gigs while the Transplants are booked only for the East Coast. Other bands that are doing the big show include Less Than Jake, Suicide Machines, Dropkick Murphys, AFI, the Distillers and Finch. Before then, the Warped Tour 2003 compilation will drop May 20 to get the party started.

Canadian Warped Tour dates are confirmed for July 4 in Vancouver, August 1 in Montreal and August 2 in Toronto. The first 1000 people to order tickets in each market from warpedtour.com will receive a free Warped Tour CD.

The Osbournes VS Billy Corgan
Pay attention to the following story because there are many players. Last Thursday night Uniondale New York played host to a holiday concert called Claus Fest. The first problem, according to Launch.com, came when Ozzy Osbourne who was listed on the bill of performers, took the stage only to introduce his daughter Kelly Osbourne. Kelly brought along boyfriend Bert McCracken of the Used to see her perform. You may remember, The Used is the band that literally shut down the newsroom at our very own CHUM City building a mere month ago. McCracken continued his trouble making at Claus Fest when he allegedly tried to trip Billy Corgan whose new band Zwan also performed at the event. Kelly's boyfriend's outburst likely got big points with mom. Sharon Osbourne used to manage Corgan in Smashing Pumpkins and the relationship ended badly. Billy allegedly struck back by kicking McCracken in the stomach. When Kelly took the stage she got her revenge by telling the crowd that Corgan performed oral favours to get his spot on the Claus Fest bill. Merry Christmas to all and all a good night.

Much-Used Floor
Members of Utah band The Used had to overcome substance abuse and homelessness to make it in the music biz and finally release their major label debut this year. Earlier this week, The Used's fans had to overcome falling through the floor of Seattle's Paramount Theatre mid-way through the band's performance. A huge hole in the floor of the venue became apparent after frontman Bert McCracken asked fans to take a few steps back during the concert. Although no one was hurt, the band pulled the plug on the rest of the show for safety reasons. Meanwhile, according to the Associated Press, an L.A. venue that The Used are to play in tomorrow is said to be reinforcing its floor in light of the Seattle incident.
